Spring 2018 Message from the President
Greetings to all Heritage members.
Well, we finally got winter, not much snow, but some ice and plenty of cold weather. We had been spoiled the last couple of years but were reminded that we can still have winter in Missouri. I hope everyone is doing okay and looking forward to spring, as we are.
The Case Collectors winter convention is coming up and unless the weather interferes we will be there. We are also planning on attending the Pawnee, Oklahoma, show the first part of May. This is always a good show if you like steam.
A friend of mine pointed me to some Case Eagle Hitch implements this winter and I was able to add three pieces to my collection. I’ll try to get a story in the Heritage Eagle sometime later on these. I got a call from a young fellow in Indiana wanting information on the Foundation. He was getting it for his grandfather, who had dropped his membership in 2001. Happily, I believe he is rejoining. They are working on a Case Centennial slat two-bottom plow and needing some parts. If anyone can help them, please contact me and I’ll get the information to them.
We are looking forward to the summer Case Collectors convention at Greenville, Illinois, in July. This is a growing and very active show, should be a great time. It is not too soon to make your motel reservations for our EXPO at Boonville, Missouri, in September. As noted in the last issue, there is a University of Missouri football game that same weekend so motel rooms may be harder to get. Mike Holder, president of the Missouri Screamin’ Eagles Case club, is finalizing the menu for the banquet. Banquet location, price plus how to make your banquet reservations is below.
Until next time. — Jim
