Winter 2018 Message from the President
Greetings to all Heritage members. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. As I write this we are “enjoying” a touch of winter. The temperature on Saturday after Thanksgiving was 65 degrees; today the temperature is expected to be 34 degrees. Oh well, welcome to Missouri. I am sure others of you are having better or worse weather.
The EXPO at Boonville was a good show despite the weather. It rained three of the four days of the show. In spite of the rain a pretty good number of Case items showed up. Two Case cars, one from Missouri and one from Colorado made the scene. We had a great location for the trailer sales thanks to the Missouri Screamin’ Eagles Case club in their Case dealership building on the show grounds. We got to visit with several old friends and met some new ones, and after all, I think this is what it is all about.
John Ahlers and I were reelected to the board and I was elected president again. Bill Bauer was elected to fill the opening left by Carl Tuttle. Bill was selected to serve as the assistant secretary. All other officers remained the same. Your board is working on providing a $500 scholarship to an individual or institution to further the education of the public about our organization and Case. This scholarship will be presented at the annual EXPO banquet each year.
No site was selected for the 2022 EXPO as the board is looking for a site outside of the Midwest for this year. Pontiac, Illinois was selected as the site for the 2023 EXPO.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Until next time. — Jim
