Spring 2019 Message From the President
Greetings to all Heritage members. Hope everyone is enjoying the winter (or at least trying to). We’ve not had a real bad one so far, but I know a lot of you are dealing with snow and cold weather. Haven’t gotten a lot accomplished on tractor projects due to some health issues and the weather, but am looking forward to spring and getting more done.
We are hoping to get to Ionia, Wisconsin in May for the JICCA winter convention. Looks like this should be a good show. The JICCA summer convention will be at Madison, South Dakota in August. We were at this show for the J.I. Case Heritage EXPO in 2008 and it was a great show. I expect it will be again this year.
Unfortunately, we won’t make this one this year as shortly thereafter is the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers show at Rollag, Minnesota, August 30 through September 2. They are hosting our J.I. Case Heritage Foundation Case EXPO this year. If you have never been to this show, I can highly recommend it. They have something for everyone, including a lot of field demonstrations.
Did I mention that they will have the only 150-horse Case Road Locomotive in existence at the show? That’s right. Kory Anderson will be bringing the 150-horse to Rollag and putting it through its paces at the show. If you didn’t get to see it at Andover last year, this is your chance.
Until next time. — Jim
